Sanjay Leela Bhansali has long time back announced his plans to make a film titled ‘Heera Mandi’, apparently based on the famous red light area in the walled city of Lahore. However, he had later shelved the idea, but
the grapevine has it that Bhansali has now decided to start this project soon and the lead roles in the movie will be played by the cream of Bollywood- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor. Sanjay had initially wanted Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukherjee and Sonam Kapoor for lead roles.

Sanjay will start working on the film as soon as he wraps up with his ambitious project ‘Guzaarish’ starring Hrithik and Aishwarya. With three beautiful and very talented actresses sharing the screen space, the project definitely seems to be a promising one!!!

Launch Vehicle
Prem Kaa Game is loosely based on Marilyn Monroe’s Seven-Year Itch. Arbaaz Khan is a happily-married man with a child and things are perfect until a young girl, me, walks into the neighbourhood.

Casting Coup
I am based in Bengaluru and so is the producer of the film. I was at an awards function when he saw me there and asked me if I would be interested in doing the film. It was really that simple.
Stepping-Stone
I have done two Telugu films down south – Khushi and Bisi Bisi. I would also write scripts and direct plays in college but that’s about it. No formal training in theatre. I have also done a bit of modeling.
First Shot
I was not tense at all. I was in fact looking forward to the start of shooting. I still remember this incident when I went to meet Arbaaz Khan for the first time. I wanted to dress up and had put on a lot of make-up. The next day I met Arbaaz without any make-up and he said I was a pretty girl and didn’t require any. I didn’t know how to react, I was extremely embarrassed.
Stumbling Block
Shifting to Mumbai has been the biggest challenge for me. I have lived all my life in Bengaluru and suddenly shifting base to Mumbai was difficult. My father was very strict with me and I never stayed alone, so staying alone is tough.
Lessons Learnt
I have just learnt that no matter what you do, just follow your heart and do what you like. Don’t ever compromise on life and live life to the fullest. Most importantly I have learnt that no matter what, always keep a smile on your face.
Matinee Idol
I was a huge fan of Madhubala and later Madhuri Dixit. Though I don’t really have favourites, I want to work with Sanjay Dutt. I think he is very cool.
Future Projects
I haven’t taken up anything yet. I just want to concentrate on Prem Kaa Game as of now. Once that is done I will decide what next.
