According to latest reports, Deepika Padukone is playing the role of a young revolutionary in the film KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY and has to drape a saree to look the part.

But, while shooting for the film, the actress had to do many retakes as she found it difficult to drape a saree and do the action scenes. Finally, it was her designer who came to her rescue and made her feel comfortable during the shoot.

Well, someone like Deepika whose long legs make the best visual will in fact look uncomfortable in a saree any time.

Deepika Padukone in stunning looks in short locks in ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ but now the dimpled beauty seems to sport in a complete new avatar in a pony tail for Ashutosh Gowariker’s forthcoming film ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’.

Far apart from her glamorous role, Deepika will appear as a quite simple Bengali girl named as Kalpana who plays the character of a revolutionary.

Most often the actress is draped in traditional sari in Bengali style whose entire get up is done by the noted fashion designer Neeta Lulla.

Aishwarya Rai invited a lot of flak from fashion critics for her western appearance in a violet-blue gown from Lebanese designer Elie Saab on the red carpet on the first day of the 63rd Cannes Film Festival. She was also pooh-poohed for her bouffant hair-do.

In comparison Deepika Padukone was lauded for wearing an off-white sari with a sensuous blouse. Dressed as a true blue Indian diva, Deepika grabbed many an eye and got a thumbs-up from fashion pundits. It seemed she outshone Ash in Cannes.

But if one notices Ash’s fashion and style statement on the second day when she wore a black sequined Armani Privé gown, the lady just puts all the misgivings to rest. She simply looked stunning.
